AINP on Pesticide Residues has 12 centers all over India. Persistence and dissipation of pesticide residues is studied through through supervised field trials following good agricultural practices (GAP). The data is utilized by concerned authorities for fixation of Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) of Pesticide. Monitoring of Pesticide Residues in fruits, vegetables and other food commodities is also conducted by all the centers using uniform protocol of pesticide analysis. Project Co-ordinating Cell conducts training programme on pesticide residues analysis technique.
